This publication was created in memory of Derek Hurrell, a much-loved mathematics educator and exceptional teacher who influenced thousands of educators through his work at the University of Notre Dame Australia.
Derek believed in mathematics teaching that valued understanding, thinking and exploration. The World, NOT According to Derek Hurrell celebrates that philosophy by putting engaging mathematics into the hands of teachers and students.
